Careyes Mexico - A World Apart, by Design

In 1968, Italian visionary Gian Franco Brignone flew over an untouched stretch of Jalisco's Costalegre and fell in love. He bought roughly 20,000 acres of coastline and jungle. Instead of building a resort, he built a way of life: dramatic clifftop villas, sculptural architecture and a promise to protect the land around them.

More than 50 years later, that promise still holds. Careyes is still wild and private, and it still feels like its own world. Some of the world's top design and travel magazines have written about it, but it has never been commercialized.

Nature First, Always

Here, nature isn't a view. It's the neighbor.
